Describe a typical day for you at Cyril Sweett
"There isn't a typical day and that's the beauty of it! Some days you spend your time around the office cost planning, measuring, attending graduate training sessions, and others you are visiting a site for insurance valuations or going to meetings at clients' offices or to architects' workshops. Every day there is something new to look forward to, a new learning experience and a chance to apply something that I have learnt from the Quantity Surveying masters course that I am currently completing."

What do you like most about working here?
"Definitely the responsibilities you are given from day one, and at the same time, people are helpful and friendly and will assist you in getting the job done."

What exciting projects have you worked on?
"I am currently involved in a multi-billion project that includes hotels, a shopping mall, car parks and leisure centre, and I am in charge of one part of it. The project is in the United Arab Emirates which means that I need to be aware of the construction market there."
