Ms
Mary Harney, Minister for Heath for Ireland,
opened the new Clinical Services Building
on 11th July 2006, which forms part of the
€250m major re-development of St. Vincent’s
Hospital, the largest healthcare project
in Ireland
The recent opening of the
state of the art Clinical Services Building
is the centrepiece of the redevelopment,
measuring 14,000sqm and consisting of five
stories. The building was designed to accommodate
the renewal of all the major treatment and
diagnostic areas of the hospital and create
an Ambulatory day care centre for outpatient
one-day procedures.
Cyril Sweett has been working
on-site full-time since August 2000 and
to date have provided project management
services, programming and risk, value and
facilitation services. Operational commissioning
of each of the new buildings was a major
logistical undertaking, ensuring minimal
disruption of services to patients. The
project was completed on time and within
the budget.
