A group of Cyril Sweett staff from the Public Sector team spent the morning of Friday 30 November at the Coram Centre, gardening and refurbishing the area of the campus that is used by the Child Contact Service. The initiative was conducted as part of Cyril Sweet's Corporate Social Responsibility programme which offers assistance, support and resources to local organisations and projects whenever possible.
Cyril Sweett volunteers provided a range of services which included tidying up the area, planting new flower beds, restoring the benches and garden furniture and putting up bird feeders to encourage more wildlife to the area. The aim was to make the gardens more attractive and pleasant for the families that make use of the space.
The Coram Family is a children's charity that aims to develop and promote best practice in the care of vulnerable children and their families. It is England’s oldest children’s charity as its founder, Captain Thomas Coram established the Foundling Hospital in 1739 to provide care for abandoned children living and dying on the streets of London. Today, Coram Family services help vulnerable children and young people who have experienced trauma and family breakdown or whose families are at risk.
The Coram Centre is located less than a mile away from Cyril Sweett’s head office which is located at Grays Inn Road in London.
