When the Tussauds Group decided to undertake their first hotel development at the Alton Towers leisure attraction in the UK, they chose Cyril Sweett to support them.

By providing an end to end service that included design briefing, performance specification, cost and procurement advice and project management we were able to ensure that this high concept hotel was successfully delivered on time, within budget and to the right quality. With its themed public areas, conference facilities, leisure club and landscaped gardens, the hotel proved hugely successful and has continued to trade well since opening.

Tussauds returned to Cyril Sweett again when they decided to embark on the development of a second hotel at Alton Towers. Aptly named ‘Splash Landings’, this innovative hotel includes an integral water park and conference centre.

The hotel was successfully opened for business in 2003 and, in recognition of its groundbreaking design, was awarded winner of the Best Hotel at the 2003 Leisure Property Awards.
