Our experience encompasses a variety of projects in the education sector including schools (including specialist schools), independent schools, colleges, academies and universities.
Developing space that is flexible, conducive to learning and study, and is environmentally sound is complex. It requires both an up-to-date understanding of trends and challenges, as well as the skills and individual experience to engage stakeholders.
Working with clients and their design teams across the full range of education facilities, Cyril Sweett helps to develop and create environments that inspire, nurture and enable life long learning.
Throughout the education life cycle we provide support from establishing funding opportunities and levels, establishment of briefs, technical team appointment and management, through to the implementation, construction and delivery stages of projects. We recognise the importance of supporting teaching staff and colleagues in realising their ambitions, and in the critical handover periods.
Our expertise in PPP/PFI in the UK, Continental Europe and Australia has helped to secure financial close and delivery on many major PFI education schemes including the current Building Schools for the Future programme and traditional package schemes. This is supported by up-to-date specialist knowledge of the education sector gained from our work advising both individual clients and consortia on strategic activities such as procurement advice, partnering services and value for money.
Operating throughout the world, we share best practice and have robust benchmarking data on whole life cost and facilities management that enables us to help clients make informed decisions and achieve accountability.
Cyril Sweett is proud to be on the Buying Solutions Technical Assurance Services framework, and the Partnerships for Schools framework. This means that public sector clients can appoint Cyril Sweett directly without the need to go through any tendering processes.
