Francis Ives
Chairman

Francis has considerable experience in the construction industry. Shortly after joining the company in 1970, he qualified as a quantity surveyor in 1972 and as a Fellow of the RICS. Francis has in the past been a President of the British Council of Shopping Centres and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Contracts Tribunal. Currently he is a board member of the British Council for Offices. Francis also chairs the RICS Contracts Panel and represents the RICS on the JCT. He has chaired the Group for the past 18 years.

Dean Webster
Chief Executive Officer

In 1980 Dean joined the Company and is a qualified  member of the RICS, a member of the Association of Project Managers and has completed a Henley MBA.   Between 1995 and 2004 Dean was responsible for steering the Company's project management business from a team of 35 to 120 people and setting the strategy for the future. Appointed Chief Executive in 2005, Dean now drives the Group's overall strategy and is responsible for the delivery of mergers and acquisitions and performance of business operations.

Chris Goscomb
Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining the board, Chris had worked as the Group Treasurer for nearly 2 years. Before he joined Cyril Sweett, Chris was Finance Director of EMCOR (UK) Limited and previously Group Finance Director of Biwater plc. His construction industry background brings valuable experience to Cyril Sweett in both its UK and international business. Chris has full responsibility for the Group finance function and IT.

Derek Pitcher
Executive Director, Operations

Derek joined Cyril Sweett in 1978, became a Partner at the age of 30 and Managing Director of the Quantity Surveying business in 1996. Derek's main area of responsibility is managing the UK business, supervising the delivery of the business plan. Derek is the Honorary Treasurer of the British Council of Shopping Centres and an active member of BCO, Design and Build Foundation and also the RICS Procurement panel.

Eamonn Kerr
Managing Director, International

Eamonn joined Cyril Sweett in 2001 after running his own successful project management business which had a diverse range of clients including Psion Computers and the Benetton Formula One team. After building the Central Regional businesses in the UK, in 2007 Eamonn took on the role of expanding Cyril Sweett’s global operations. Now based out of the Dubai office, he is responsible for all of the group's operations across mainland Europe, The Middle East and India, Asia Pacific and Australia and is driving expansion of the company into China and beyond. Eamonn is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett International (Holdings) Limited.

Michael Henderson
Non-Executive Director

Michael enjoys a long standing reputation for his expertise and network in industrial and financial management. He was Managing Director and Chief Executive of Cookson Group PLC (a FTSE 100 company) for 12 years and has also been a Director of Guinness Mahon Holdings PLC and Tioxide Group PLC. He was also Chairman of Henderson Crossthwaite Ltd. At present he is also Vice Chairman of the advisory Board of Quexco Inc., the largest lead producer in the world. Michael was appointed Non-Executive Director in 1998.

Roger Mabey
Non-Executive Director

Roger has a wealth of knowledge of operating in international and UK constructionmarkets. He has 40 years’ experience in the construction and property industry, previously as Managing Director at Bovis International Ltd and as Director at Bovis Lendlease Ltd. He is currently Vice Chairman for Housing Solutions Ltd, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Roger was appointed Non-Executive Director in 2003.

Paul Nicholas Woollacott
Non-Executive Director

Nicholas is an experienced director of both listed and unlisted companies. As a Group Managing Director of Lattice plc he was previously a FTSE 100 main board director and as the former Senior Independent Director and acting Chairman of Enterprise plc, and now a Director of Goldshield plc, he also has extensive experience of working with AIM and smaller companies. Following a degree in Physics, Nicholas's career has ranged from oil trading with Shell through leading the first comprehensive assessment of renewable energy in Britain to developing, financing and running major power and gas infrastructure projects both in the UK and overseas. Nicholas was appointed Non-Executive Director in 2007.

Martin Hadnutt
Operations Director, London and South East

Martin joined Cyril Sweett in April 2008 and is the Operations Director for London and South East. Prior to joining, Martin’s career was spent with Nisbet LLP where he became Chairman in 2006 developing the business which merged with Cyril Sweett. His professional focus has been in the public sector and, in the last ten years, in particular the PFI and BSF markets where he advises public authorities and NHS Trusts, SPVs and major constructors on a wide range of matters. As well as leading the London and South East business, Martin has particular responsibility for developing new business in the public sector at Cyril Sweett. Martin is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

Group Marketing Director

Gary joined Cyril Sweett at the beginning of 2010 as Group Marketing Director. Gary has 20 years experience in the areas of sales, engineering and management and has held senior marketing and business development roles in sectors such as central government, rail, defence, facilities management, retail, health and utilities. Gary has developed significant business for companies including Morrison, Marconi and the Macquarie business, Airwave. Gary is responsible for overseeing business development and sales strategies, managing the existing client base and pursuing opportunities in new markets throughout the world. Gary is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited. Gary is a Chartered Civil Engineer and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.

Jimmi Bradbury
International Development Director

Jimmi first worked for the business between 1985 and 1995. He has considerable experience of the international construction markets having lived and worked in South East Asia and North America for approximately seven years between 1995 and 2001. Since rejoining the Company in 2001, he has been responsible for Cyril Sweett’s international development. A Fellow of the RICS, he is also a member of the London board of the RICS and a member of both the World Games Commission and the European Committee of the British Expertise Group. Jimmi is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett International (Holdings) Limited.

Peter Taylor
Operations Director, South West and Wales

Peter joined the company in 2000 after working at Bucknall Austin for 14 years where he had been a director for over five years. Peter has been responsible for the Group's expansion into the South West and Wales. He opened the Bristol office in 2000 and the Exeter office in 2006. The South West currently has 74 staff offering predominantly quantity surveying and project management services although this has recently expanded to include building surveying, health and safety and consultancy services. Peter is planning further geographical expansion in South Wales and the South West peninsula. Peter is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

Alan Manuel
Operations Director, Scotland

Alan joined the Company in 1998 after running his own successful practice for three years. Alan was integral in the growth of the business in Scotland from a small eight-man business to its present position of over 70 staff. He also had management responsibility for the Northern Ireland business and joined the board of BoydCreedSweett in 2004 in order to successfully integrate it into the Group. Alan's role moving forward will be the future development and management of the Scottish region as well as the new Newcastle office. Alan is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

Shane Boyd
Joint Operations Director, Ireland 

Shane joined Boyd Creed Sweett in 1989 and was made a Director in 1991, rising to the position of Chairman in 1998. Shane's expertise is in "green" sustainable schemes and he is also an expert on cost consultancy with particular focus on grant applications. Shane's primary responsibilities since the merger of Boyd & Creed and Cyril Sweett has been the development of BoydCreedSweett, including responsibility for company finances, marketing, client liaison/relationship management and the strategies required for the on-going growth and expansion of the Company. Shane is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

WARKE-Geoff

Geoff Warke
Joint Operations Director, Ireland 

With over thirty years experience in the construction industry, Geoff has acquired an extensive skill base. Formerly a partner in BDP, he moved to Cyril Sweett as Regional Operations Director in 2000. He has expanded the business locally in the last nine years from a small single office to a large progressive practice with offices in Belfast, Coleraine and Dublin employing a total of 60 staff offering Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Building Surveying and Health and Safety Services. In the last ten years, Geoff has combined his considerable general experience with his knowledge of PPP procurement and has become recognised as one of the local market leading PPP experts. He has been involved with local recent PPP schemes such as Belfast Magistrates Courts, Enniskillen Hospital and Belfast Metropolitan College.

Kenneth Wood
Operations Director, Central

Ken joined Cyril Sweett as part of the acquisition of Nisbet LLP in 2008, after previously working for over 10 years at Accent Group (formerly Bradford & Northern Housing Association). Ken has created a strong local presence of over 30 staff covering the disciplines of project management, cost consultancy, building surveying and health and safety services for both the public and private sector clients, with a particular expertise in the residential and regeneration sectors. This is both through traditional HCA funding for Registered Social Landlords and also major LHC, HMR and PFI initiatives. Ken is also responsible for the central region, which includes offices in Leeds, Manchester and Leamington Spa. Ken heads up the affordable housing sector team and is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

Andrew Moore
Operations Director, Quantity Surveying - Private Sector, London & South East

Andrew has worked predominantly in the commercial sector over the last 20 years, progressing from graduate to director within the Cyril Sweett Group. Andrew heads up the cost consultancy team responsible for commercial sector work in London. His experience ranges from developers through to funders and end users. He has extensive experience in key account management with major blue chip occupiers in the financial and media sectors. Andrew is a member of the BCO. Andrew is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

 BISHOP, Carl

Carl Bishop
Operations Director, Quantity Surveying - Public Sector , London & South East  

Carl was a Partner of Nisbet LLP for 17 years and, following acquisition by Cyril Sweett, is now Operations Director for the QS Public Sector team for London and the South East includind East Anglia. He is also in charge of the Lifecycle team in London and is our health sector champion responsible for co-ordinating our services in the health sector across the UK. Carl has extensive experience in health, education and other public sector work including PFI, LIFT, P21 and BSF as well as more traditional forms of procurement. Carl is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

Mahesh Doshi
Operations Director, London & South East, Quantity Surveying

Mahesh has been with Cyril Sweett since 1978. He has considerable experience of the construction industry and specialises in public sector works with particular focus on health and education contracts. Mahesh heads the cost consulting team which is responsible for the PFI/PPP contracts in all sectors. Mahesh is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett India Pvt Limited.

Paul Nash
Operations Director, Project Management, London & South East

Paul is a director of the Project Management business for the South East region. He joined the construction industry in 1982 as an indentured management trainee and has since worked for some of the leading contractors and consultants in the industry, where he has been responsible for supporting the project and property requirements of occupiers, developers and investors both in the UK and overseas. Paul has a Masters Degree in Project Management from the University of Reading and is an Alumni of Henley Management College. He is also a Member of the Institute of Directors and the British Council of Offices. Paul is a Trustee and Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and sits on the Professional Conduct Committee. Paul is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

Alastair Bloore
Operations Director, Management Consulting, London & South East

Alastair joined Cyril Sweett in 2001 and is Operations Director, for the London & South East, for Management Consulting. He is a structural engineer by background and moved into infrastructure project management before specialising in the provision of consultancy advice across a wide range of industry sectors. He has particular experience in risk management, value management, facilitation and other business improvement techniques. Alastair  is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Limited.

Ken Gill
Managing Director, Cyril Sweett Investments

Ken joined Cyril Sweett in 2004 having gained over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. Since winning and closing the UK’s first PFI schools contract as project director (Sir John Colfox School, Dorset), he has directed over twenty PFI/PPP accommodation projects to Preferred Bidder stage or beyond. At Cyril Sweett, Ken has assembled and directed consortia to bid and secure PPP contracts to provide eighteen new schools in South Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway and Inverclyde with a capital value of approximately £280m. Ken is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Investments Limited.

RICKWOOD-Steve

Stephen Rickwood
Director, Cyril Sweett Investments

Stephen joined Cyril Sweett as a senior director in 2001. Prior to this he was with AMEC plc and directed the winning bid for University College London Hospitals PFI now operational in London. A trained surveyor, he became a member of the Institute of Building once he had qualified. In his position at Cyril Sweett, Stephen is responsible for the development of Bid Management combined with our investments in PFI/PPP. He implemented and led Cyril Sweett's first equity investment in a PPP; a consortium for Plymouth LIFT in 2003/4. Also Stephen sits as a director for CSI on four SPV boards. Steve is a statutory director of Cyril Sweett Investments Limited.

Nick van Dorp
Group HR Director

Nick joined Cyril Sweett in January 2008 from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was European Human Resources Director. He was heavily involved in the 1998 merger of Healey & Baker with Cushman & Wakefield and in his 19 years experience with the Group, Nick led a European people and expansion strategy implementing a headcount growth from 450 to 2000 across EMEA. Nick has over 30 years human resources experience including appointments with J Sainsbury Plc and ITT Industries. He brings particular expertise in employer branding, talent management, employee engagement, mergers and acquisitions, training and development and International human resources.  Nick is a statutory Director of both Cyril Sweett Ltd and Cyril Sweett International (Holdings) Ltd.
